1.25 cups sugar (can split between white and brown)
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
2 large eggs, room temperature
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups flour
3 large very ripe bananas, do not mash completely. I like the small pieces of banana left 😀
3/4 cup nuts, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
cinnamon, strudel top!
Cream the butter. Blend together sugar, butter, and eggs.
Add dry ingredients, which have been sifted together.
Add mashed bananas, chopped nuts, and vanilla extract.
Pour into a greased loaf pan.
Sprinkle the tops of the loaves with a couple of spoonfuls of white table sugar before putting into the oven … this gives them a delightful, crunchy sweet topping when cooked.
Bake at 375°F degrees for 40 minutes.
Then, cover with aluminium foil so they don’t turn brown.
Bake for 10 more minutes.
Keep the aluminum foil on the pan after they have removed from the oven.
Add soaked towel in OJ/Brady + wrap in aluminum foil after it has cooled completely.
Used 1 cup of nuts, 1 cup of sugar
Too nutty and not sweet enough
1.33 cup of sugar, 1 cup of nuts
50 minutes bake
