I am one week away from my first international trip ever! I am excited to study abroad at Yonsei International Summer School in Seoul, Korea. I will be there between June 19, 2011 to August 7, 2011. Even though this blog started about my recipe reviews, I have decided to also document my time in Korea. I will try my best to update with as many photos/videos during my journey.
My friend, Christina, and I are arriving one day earlier to Korea. We both will be arriving June 20, 2011 but our Jeju Island field trip starts June 21, 2011. Therefore, both of us will be staying at a hotel for one night. I book the hotel one week before the check in date because I completely forgot to do so before. Luckily, there was 1 room left at Hotel Biz Myeong Dong.
I mainly chose this hotel after considering price to distance from Ewha Women’s University (you want to stop here instead of the main gate of Yonsei University, I will explain more later). This hotel just had the best reviews for its price range! One night was only $50.09 including tax and everything. People reviewed and recommended this place. Many said the staff was nice. Although, previous travellers have mentioned the hotel is hard to find, especially if you are arriving at night. But hey, life is an adventure and I love to take risks.
Some things to note are when you are arriving to the Yonsei University dorms, DO NOT STOP AT YONSEI UNIVERSITY MAIN GATE unless you want to lug your suit cases across campus. You want to enter from Yonsei University East Gate because that is where the international part of the campus is located. The East Gate is closer to Ewha’s Women University (the school next door). Therefore, you should stop at Ewha’s Women University.
